Introduction
All male members of the Club aged 55 and over are eligible to join the Seniors Section – the “Seniors”. We would like to tell you about our activities and encourage you to join our Club and enjoy as many of our golfing and social activities as you wish.
Weekly Get Togethers
We meet every Monday and Thursday at 8am. Just turn up on the 1st tee, pay £1 entry fee, join your partners for the day’s competition and enjoy your game, whatever your standard.
The results and prize-giving, together with tales of miracle shots, near misses, bad luck and “what might have been”, are fully debated with banter and laughter in the clubhouse afterwards with the bacon sandwich and coffee or beer. These are great social golf get togethers and an excellent way to meet fellow members and make new friends. See the 2007 Seniors Programme page for details of the Monday and Thursday get togethers.
Matches
We play 20 weekday inter-club matches between March and October each year. Everyone is eligible to play - just put your name on the entry sheet on the Seniors notice board in the locker room in the clubhouse. It’s a great way to experience a variety of local courses and make friends with members from other clubs. We finish the matches with lunch
